The read length depends on the quality of the starting DNA. The more intact, the longer the read length. In our experience, we have obtained 10kb on average in unmanipulated whole genome sequencing services. In RNA, we have obtained an average length of 780 base pairs.

The depth can be adjusted to the needs of the experiment. By performing real-time sequencing we can calculate the required depth and stop when it has been reached.

The depth in this case depends on the quality of the starting DNA and the length of the fragments.
